It can be simple as a gesture of love

or a glance at a falling leaf

or a pen to page

or limb to dance

Follow the small and large visions

placed in your heart

burning in your skin

the subtle impulses

and bold pulls of what you are called to

Let your deep gladness make friends

with the world’s ache

and never forget what calls you to joy

These are the lifelines

not the deadlines which seduce

but the lines which wait for you

as a patient lover

always hoping you will be drawn

back to the passion

of your dreams

Each thread is a line, a curve, a map

to your delicious life

that wants to be lived

through you.

You are becoming a union of two bodysouls

 a marriage of two solitudes

who remain alone and together

both unique and magnificent

in your individual ways, gifts, personalities, and wills

who flourish in the act of being together

both lovingly and consciously

a duo of longings where flesh and spirit meet.

You are a bouquet of many colors

writing new sentences in the world

for what it means to be whole

in the cup of romance

and companions in this co-creation

writing partnership, which sings in dusk and dawn.

May you know the delight

of each syllable in your lives

as you join in making stories of wonder.

May the wind guide you on this passage

where the deeper love between you

has more expanse than you know.

You have been preparing for this union for decades

and NOW is your time to surrender daily

to the beauty between you

where one and one makes more than two

and you dance together as equal partners.

as you navigate your new journey

you will be sustained on the sails of joy.

Art is a faithful lover
wooing us back each time
the missletoe of life
begging for a kiss
calling forth our attention.

Art always waits to be
caressed, loved into being
imagination is the great foreplay
union with the creative force
asks no more than this ~

make me
play with me
put my skin on
dwell in my terrain
a playground for the body and spirit
fingers and hips
words and notes

Be kissed with the star of creation
let go of any expectations
where I will take you
and prance with abandon
I can be trusted
and will not disappoint
always wait for you
as a patient lover
seeking to be born
over and over again
through your flesh
in your cells
with your tissues.

You never know
what I will bring
and when the surprises
of disruption and birth
will be announced in your life

This is not a clean
straightforward path
but a spiral geography
turning from one curve to another
radical spurts of joy
spiced with tears
will moisten
the raw canvas of creation.

So take your pen and paintbrush
hands, feet, voice, and belly
and let me slow dance with you
to form the visible – the audible
from the invisible
and know this~
the act of creating
e n d u r e s.

Know there is a flow

working within the vessels

of your life and blood

through each spiritual artery and vein

which has a current all to its own

 

you cannot stop the life stream

only enhance its surge

listen for the sound

of grace inhabiting

the map of your path

 

let what is unseen carry you

in its crest and

give into the wave

of the ebb and flow

of your own pulse

 

who knows where your journey will lead

or what you may discover

you are in a new chapter

 of your own autobiography

rewriting your own narrative

every moment you take a breath

 

Let the air breathe you

and allow the mist of the unpredictable

to caress your own plans

widen your embrace

of what is possible

it is in the impossible

where grace

will have her way

and find you once again

with an open heart

to touch the sky

and inhabit your dreams

Know this is not your home
but you live in-between
the stars, moon and sea
where you resonate
near edges and borders
shore of rocks and waves
land and river
the space with those
you practice love

Home is not a house
condo, villa or studio
but how you dwell
in each place of your life
there are as many spaces
as there are vegetables
and plant species.

Take comfort in unrest
and know we are all made
for something more
between particles and stardust
the living One is within
your chest and breast
and lives in the ache
of your longing to belong.

The world is temporary
but the love you know and feel
for daffodils and dance
children and creativity
friends and fauna
music and manna
endure

Love breaks form
as you were made from dust
You carry the universe
within you
the mark of great longing.

Don’t be fooled
by quenching with false waters
Retire into the life
created from the inside out
an eternal home
a heaven within.

Know the earth
is inside and outside you
here is the space for taking care
of your precious essence.
Make peace with your desire
and be brave
to know you are enough
a home unto  yourself.

Return to the fragrance
of the interior palace
where a hundred gardenias
live inside your chest

You are not only breathing
but being breathed
by the aroma of sweetness
where petals of sorrow
t r a n s f o r m
to the sounds and smells of
s p a c i o u s n e s s

All along there is another listening
guiding you from within
decongest your hearing
and listen to the inner ear
where a deeper stillness
calls you back
to the garden

where you smell, touch and hear
the pulse of creation
beating within you
and you are named back
to your heartsong
and dare to live
in your own
e x t r a v a g a n c e.

Release to each stroke
as a practice for life
let liquid suspend you
float into time
be renewed
in the water of existence
where floating
is a spiritual practice
and the rhythm of swimming
is the way
of daily baptism
where your concerns lie
in the past
plunge your limbs into the present
speed or slowness
does not matter
in the great pool
you are buoyed by lightness
muscles and joints are working
without strain
here is the metaphor
for traversing your path
with effortlessness
simplicity of backstroke
the sky is your focus
and repetition
is a hymn
to beginnings
of a gliding life
splashing into mystery
the body stretching
to the next moment.

Life is not what it seems
appearances are radically different
than what I S
you hear it said over and over again
it is what it is
what is more important
is
you are here
alive
fresh with the naked
vitality of being awake
to the glorious impossible
wrapped in the skin
of a new bud
fresh fallen snow
a glance of love
the boldness of honesty

Dare to be Real
to be who you truly want to be
the time is NOW
for announcing your true heart
n o compromise
in the ground of green earth
n o accommodation
for what you know is not true
stay near to the timbrel of your own voice

Find what truly animates
your deepest yearning
and know the closer you live
to your own pulse
the more exquisite you are
for here is your rare beauty
with all your imperfections
let the opposites be present
celebrate blue and orange!

The time is NOW
to live with all your
colors, hues and shades
of the uniqueness of you
Show up for your life
and let the real B E!

Be dressed in the presence
of Christ within you
however you believe
or articulate your place on earth
and connection to the numinous
may this season of craziness
where everything one values
is turned upside down –
return to what matters

into the space

of incarnation
where word became flesh
and dwelt among you
and in you

the light within you
is greater than any shadow
even though you and I as babes
were formed in the dark of the womb
we are born into light

May this season
uncover tiny spaces
to be clothed once again
in the wider knowing
you shine from the inside out
and are held from the inside out

in emptying is fullness
and small gestures of kindness
and your presence
is Christmas gone wild

here is the fierce beauty
romancing you
to peace.

revealing heart’s yearning.

the door to the inside

and secret passage

to the Beloved

and entrance to the home

of being loved

& being love.

 Retreat

in the nest

of your inner habitat

and find your deep nature

greeting you.
